Organic Baby Clothing GOSPORT

Back before I had my baby, I never really thought I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a new mother, talking to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to talk about the latest baby fashions we have purchased.

I usually go out with 4 other women, once a week, to find out the latest gossip. We generally meet at Gosport Diner (which is in GOSPORT, IN) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was really exciting because we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby girl organic meals from day one but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the world and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined habitats and in particular water supplies. Organic produce is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Purchasing organic produce means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or less use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and lakes, fewer diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

A number of retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find retailers completely devoted to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to adolescents. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I am not saying that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
