Organic Baby Clothing GLENDALE

Before I had my children, I had not believed I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, being able to talk to other mothers about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to discuss the most recent baby fashions we have bought.

I more often than not get together with 3 other women, once a week, to hear about the latest gossip. We usually meet at Brand's Minimart (which is in GLENDALE, CA) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was particularly eye opening as we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic produce from day one but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in the world and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and in particular water bodies. Organic products are produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Purchasing organic clothing means you are buying produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and lakes, reduced cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few producers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find designers entirely devoted to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to older children. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
