Organic Baby Clothing GASTONIA
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 02-10-2008
Back before I had my baby, I had not believed I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mum, being able to talk to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to chat about the latest baby clothes we have purchased.
I generally go out with 3 other women, once a week, to find out the latest new. We usually meet at Milanos Italian Restaurant (which is in GASTONIA, NC) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was particularly eye opening as we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby girl organic produce from day one but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in the US and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed habitats and in particular water bodies. Organic cotton is produced without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.
You can buy beautiful organic baby clothes online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Getting organic clothing means you are purchasing products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or less use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and lakes, reduced health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
A number of retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find retailers completely committed to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to older children. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I do not think that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
