Organic Baby Clothing GARNER

Back before I had my first child, I never believed I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mum, chatting to other women about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the latest baby clothes we have picked up.

I usually get together with 4 other women, once a week, to find out the latest happenings. We usually meet at Kros Nest Seafood & Oyster Bar (which is in GARNER, NC) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was particularly exciting as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby girl organic produce from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular crops in America and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed the environment and particularly water ways. Organic cotton is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic products means you are getting products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or reduced use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, fewer health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few wholesalers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find shops completely committed to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever I can.
