Organic Baby Clothing GAINESVILLE

Back before I had my first child, I had not imagined I would join a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, chatting to other mothers about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to discuss the newest baby clothes we have bought.
I more often than not get together with 3 other mothers, once a month, to hear about the latest new. We generally meet at El Sombrero (which is in GAINESVILLE, GA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was more interesting because we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic food from day one but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in America and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged ecosystems and in particular water supplies. Organic cotton is grown without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.
Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Buying organic clothes means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, less diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Many wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find designers solely committed to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to teenagers. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
