Organic Baby Clothing FREDERICK

Before I had my children, I never thought I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a new mother, chatting to other parents about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to chat about the newest baby clothes we have bought.
I generally get together with 3 other women, once a week, to catch up on the latest gossip. We often meet at Kyoko Japanese & Thai Restaurant (which is in FREDERICK, MD) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was particularly exciting as we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby boy organic food from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular crops in America and one of the most devastating to the environment and to farmers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged the environment and especially water bodies. Organic cotton is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Getting organic produce means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, reduced diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find companies entirely devoted to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to teenagers. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
