Organic Baby Clothing FREDERICK

Before I had my first child, I never really imagined I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mother, chatting to other mothers about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the most recent baby fashions we have bought.

I usually go out with 4 other women, once a week, to catch up on the latest gossip. We usually meet at Province Too (which is in FREDERICK, MD) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was really exciting seeing we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby boy organic meals from day one but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the US and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged the environment and particularly water supplies. Organic produce is made without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

You can purchase beautiful organic baby apparel online from a number of stores. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Getting organic clothes means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or less use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.

A number of makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find stores solely committed to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to adolescents. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
