Organic Baby Clothing FREDERICK

Back before I had my first child, I never really thought I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mum, being able to talk to other mothers about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to discuss the newest baby clothes we have bought.

I generally meet with 4 other mothers, once a week, to find out the latest happenings. We often meet at Pizzaria Uno Chicago Bar & Grill (which is in FREDERICK, MD) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was particularly interesting as we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby organic meals from the start but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular plants in America and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and especially water ways. Organic cotton is made without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can get organic cotton baby clothing online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Purchasing organic clothes means you are buying produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and rivers, less health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find shops completely committed to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to teenagers. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
