Organic Baby Clothing FLAGSTAFF

Before I had my first child, I never really believed I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am a mum, talking to other women about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the most recent baby clothes we have picked up.

I more often than not go out with 4 other parents, once a week, to find out the latest gossip. We usually meet at Pine Top Deli (which is in FLAGSTAFF, AZ) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was more exciting seeing we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby girl organic meals from day one but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the US and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has ruined habitats and particularly water ways. Organic cotton is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.

You can get organic cotton baby clothes online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Getting organic produce means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few producers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find retailers entirely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to older children. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I would not go as far to say that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
