Organic Baby Clothing ETTERS

Long before I had my baby, I never imagined I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a new mother, being able to talk to other women about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to chat about the newest baby clothes we have bought.

I usually get together with 4 other parents, once a week, to find out the latest happenings. We often meet at Rock-It Pizza & Subs (which is in ETTERS, PA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was really interesting because we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby boy organic food from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in America and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has destroyed the environment and particularly water supplies. Organic cotton is made without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

You can buy organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic products means you are purchasing products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, fewer cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Quite a few producers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find retailers completely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to adolescents. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I would not go as far to say that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
