Organic Baby Clothing EAST BURKE

Before I had my first child, I had not imagined I would join a mothers group. However, now that I have become a new mother, chatting to other parents about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the most recent baby clothes we have picked up.

I generally go out with 3 other parents, once a fortnight, to hear about the latest happenings. We often meet at River Garden Cafe (which is in EAST BURKE, VT) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really eye opening because we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby organic food from the beginning but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the world and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and in particular water ways. Organic products are produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can purchase organic baby apparel online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Buying organic clothes means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or less use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, less health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find stores solely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to adolescents. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
