Long before I had my baby, I never really believed I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am a mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. Getting organic clothes means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or less use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, reduced health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Many makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find companies entirely committed to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to adolescents. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am absolutely going try to whenever I can.
