Before I had my first child, I never believed I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a mum, talking to other women about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to talk about the most recent baby fashions we have purchased.

I generally go out with 3 other women, once a month, to hear about the latest new. We often meet at CB & Potts (which is in DENVER, CO) as that is quite central for all of us. The run off from these farms has destroyed the environment and particularly water supplies. Organic produce is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Buying organic produce means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, reduced diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Several retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find companies solely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to older children. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I would not go as far to say that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
