Organic Baby Clothing DAVENPORT

Before I had my first child, I never really imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a new mother, talking to other parents about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to chat about the most recent baby fashions we have purchased.

I usually get together with 3 other women, once a fortnight, to find out the latest happenings. We generally meet at McCasa (which is in DAVENPORT, IA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was really exciting seeing we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby girl organic produce from the beginning but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in the world and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined habitats and particularly water bodies. Organic cotton is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Getting organic products means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, fewer cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few wholesalers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find stores solely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to older children. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
