Organic Baby Clothing CLIFFSIDE PARK
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 25-08-2008
Long before I had my children, I never thought I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a new mother, talking to other women about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to discuss the latest baby clothes we have bought.
I generally go out with 2 other parents, once a week, to catch up on the latest happenings. We generally meet at Dayin Yeri (which is in CLIFFSIDE PARK, NJ) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really exciting as we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic meals from the beginning but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the US and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farmers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and in particular water ways. Organic produce is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.
You can purchase beautiful organic baby clothing online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Getting organic products means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, reduced diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Many producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find wholesalers solely committed to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to adolescents. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I do not think that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
