Organic Baby Clothing CLAYTON

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 23-08-2008

Back before I had my first child, I never really imagined I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I have become a new mother, talking to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to chat about the newest baby clothes we have bought.

I usually get together with 4 other parents, once a month, to find out the latest happenings. We usually meet at Clipper Inn (which is in CLAYTON, NY) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was more exciting seeing we talked about baby clothes. I have been providing my baby organic produce from the start but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in America and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged ecosystems and especially water bodies. Organic produce is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

You can buy organic baby clothing online from a number of shops. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Buying organic clothing means you are purchasing products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Several producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find wholesalers solely committed to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to older children. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
