Before I had my children, I never really believed I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mother, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. Getting organic products means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or reduced use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, less health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

I would not go as far to say that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
