Before I had my children, I never believed I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mum, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. Purchasing organic produce means you are getting produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or less use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, reduced diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
