Back before I had my first child, I never really imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mum, chatting to other parents about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to chat about the newest baby fashions we have purchased.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the US and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has damaged the environment and particularly water supplies. Organic cotton is produced without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Getting organic produce means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or reduced use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, fewer diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
A number of retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find shops solely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I am not saying that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
