Organic Baby Clothing CHESAPEAKE

Back before I had my children, I never thought I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mother, talking to other parents about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the latest baby outfits we have bought.

I usually go out with 3 other mothers, once a fortnight, to find out the latest gossip. We often meet at Hardee's of Chesapeake (which is in CHESAPEAKE, VA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was really exciting because we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby girl organic produce from day one but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the world and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has ruined the environment and in particular water supplies. Organic produce is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can purchase beautiful organic baby apparel online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Purchasing organic clothing means you are purchasing products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, less diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Many retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find retailers entirely committed to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
