Organic Baby Clothing CAMPTON

Before I had my children, I never really imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mum, talking to other parents about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to talk about the most recent baby fashions we have bought.
I usually go out with 3 other women, once a week, to catch up on the latest new. We often meet at Parkway Cafe & Pizza (which is in CAMPTON, KY) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was particularly interesting because we discussed baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic meals from the start but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular crops in the US and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and especially water ways. Organic cotton is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.
Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Getting organic produce means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, reduced cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.
A number of makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find stores solely committed to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to adolescents. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I am not saying that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
