Organic Baby Clothing CAMILLA

Before I had my baby, I had not imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mother, chatting to other women about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the most recent baby fashions we have picked up.

I usually get together with 2 other women, once a week, to find out the latest gossip. We generally meet at Ming YONG Chinese Restaurant (which is in CAMILLA, GA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was particularly exciting seeing we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic meals from the start but I had not considered buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in America and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined the environment and especially water ways. Organic produce is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic produce means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, fewer health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find stores solely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to older children. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
