Organic Baby Clothing BUFFALO

Before I had my children, I never really imagined I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, talking to other women about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the newest baby clothes we have bought.

I more often than not get together with 4 other mothers, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest happenings. We often meet at Alberts Family Restaurant (which is in BUFFALO, NY) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was more exciting as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby boy organic food from day one but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the world and one of the most devastating to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged habitats and especially water supplies. Organic cotton is produced without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

You can buy beautiful organic baby apparel online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Buying organic products means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or less use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Several producers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find retailers solely devoted to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to teenagers. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
