Before I had my children, I never really imagined I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, talking to other women about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. Buying organic products means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or less use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.
