Organic Baby Clothing BROOKLYN
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 24-03-2010
Before I had my baby, I never really imagined I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I am a mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to talk about the newest baby fashions we have bought.
I more often than not get together with 4 other women, once a week, to catch up on the latest gossip. We usually meet at Aunt Suzies Restaurant (which is in BROOKLYN, NY) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was more eye opening because we chatted about baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby organic food from the beginning but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the world and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has damaged the environment and particularly water bodies. Organic products are grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.
You can purchase organic baby clothes online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Purchasing organic produce means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, less diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find companies completely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I am not saying that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever I can.
