Organic Baby Clothing BRATTLEBORO
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 28-07-2008
Before I had my first child, I never thought I would join a mothers group. However, now that I have become a new mother, talking to other women about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to talk about the newest baby clothes we have picked up.
I usually meet with 3 other mothers, once a week, to find out the latest gossip. We generally meet at Walkers Restaurant (which is in BRATTLEBORO, VT) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was more eye opening because we chatted about baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic meals from the beginning but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular products in America and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has ruined ecosystems and especially water supplies. Organic cotton is grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.
You can buy organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Clothing
Purchasing organic clothing means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or less use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and lakes, reduced diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.
Several retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find designers completely devoted to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to adolescents. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I am not saying that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
