Organic Baby Clothing BOULDER

Before I had my first child, I never thought I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mum, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to talk about the newest baby clothes we have bought.

I more often than not go out with 4 other parents, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest gossip. We often meet at Marriott Hotels Resorts Suites Boulder Marriott (which is in BOULDER, CO) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was particularly eye opening as we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby organic meals from day one but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular products in the US and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from these farms has ruined the environment and in particular water ways. Organic products are produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Purchasing organic produce means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and lakes, less health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Many retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find shops entirely committed to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to older children. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
