Organic Baby Clothing BOISE

Back before I had my baby, I had not thought I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mother, talking to other parents about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to chat about the most recent baby clothes we have bought.

I usually go out with 4 other women, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest new. We usually meet at Port of Subs (which is in BOISE, ID) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was more exciting because we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby girl organic meals from day one but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in America and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined the environment and particularly water supplies. Organic products are produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Purchasing organic produce means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or less use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and waterways, less diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Many producers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find stores entirely devoted to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to adolescents. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I would not go as far to say that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
