Organic Baby Clothing ALBERTVILLE

Back before I had my children, I had not imagined I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mother, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to discuss the newest baby fashions we have picked up.

I generally get together with 3 other women, once a week, to find out the latest new. We often meet at Waffle House 1179 (which is in ALBERTVILLE, AL) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was really eye opening because we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby boy organic food from the start but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the US and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined habitats and particularly water supplies. Organic products are produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

You can get beautiful organic baby outfits online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Buying organic products means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or less use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, reduced health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find retailers solely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to adolescents. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
