Long before I had my baby, I had not thought I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a mother, chatting to other mothers about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to chat about the latest baby fashions we have bought.

I generally get together with 4 other women, once a week, to find out the latest happenings. We usually meet at Star Lite Restaurant (which is in ZION, IL) as that is fairly central for all of us. Cotton is one of the most popular plants in America and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and especially water ways. Organic products are made without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic products means you are getting products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or reduced use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, less health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few producers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find shops entirely committed to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to older children. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
