Organic Baby Clothes WOLCOTT

Back before I had my children, I had not thought I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a new mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to chat about the newest baby clothes we have purchased.

I more often than not get together with 2 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest happenings. We often meet at Cote's Cafe LLC (which is in WOLCOTT, CT) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was really interesting seeing we discussed baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic produce from the beginning but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the US and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed the environment and in particular water supplies. Organic products are produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.

You can get soft organic cotton baby apparel online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic clothing means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or less use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, reduced health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

A number of retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find stores entirely committed to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to teenagers. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
