Organic Baby Clothes WILMINGTON

Long before I had my first child, I never imagined I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a mum, being able to talk to other mothers about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the most recent baby clothes we have purchased.
I generally get together with 4 other women, once a week, to catch up on the latest gossip. We often meet at Becky's First Stop Bagel Shop (which is in WILMINGTON, DE) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was particularly interesting as we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby organic produce from day one but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in the world and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed habitats and in particular water ways. Organic cotton is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.
Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Buying organic produce means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, less cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Several wholesalers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find companies completely committed to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
