Organic Baby Clothes WHITE PLAINS
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 29-11-2009
Long before I had my first child, I had not thought I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, talking to other women about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the most recent baby clothes we have picked up.
I more often than not get together with 2 other parents, once a month, to find out the latest happenings. We often meet at Ruths Jamacian Hot & Cold Deli (which is in WHITE PLAINS, NY) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was more interesting seeing we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby boy organic produce from the start but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the world and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged ecosystems and in particular water supplies. Organic cotton is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.
You can buy beautiful organic baby clothes online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Clothing
Getting organic clothing means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, fewer cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Several makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find wholesalers completely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to adolescents. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I would not go as far to say that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
