Before I had my children, I never really imagined I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mother, talking to other women about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. Purchasing organic products means you are buying produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or less use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, fewer diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.
