Organic Baby Clothes WAPPINGERS FALLS
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 18-02-2010
Before I had my children, I had not believed I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a new mother, being able to talk to other mothers about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to chat about the latest baby fashions we have picked up.
I generally meet with 2 other women, once a fortnight, to hear about the latest gossip. We often meet at Steak & Stein (which is in WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was really interesting seeing we talked about baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic food from the start but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the world and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and particularly water supplies. Organic produce is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.
You can purchase organic cotton baby apparel online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Purchasing organic clothing means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or less use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, fewer diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
A number of producers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find stores entirely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to older children. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I do not think that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am without a doubt going try to whenever I can.
