Organic Baby Clothes VALLEY VILLAGE

Long before I had my children, I never imagined I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a mum, chatting to other parents about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to discuss the most recent baby outfits we have picked up.

I more often than not get together with 3 other women, once a week, to hear about the latest new. We usually meet at Ameci Pizza & Pasta (which is in VALLEY VILLAGE, CA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was particularly interesting as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby girl organic meals from the beginning but I had not considered buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in America and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has destroyed the environment and especially water supplies. Organic cotton is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

You can purchase soft organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Buying organic clothes means you are buying produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, less diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

A number of retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find companies entirely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I do not think that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
