Organic Baby Clothes UNION

Back before I had my first child, I never really believed I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mum, chatting to other mothers about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to discuss the most recent baby outfits we have picked up.
I more often than not meet with 3 other mothers, once a month, to find out the latest new. We generally meet at Union Station Inc (which is in UNION, KY) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really exciting as we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic food from the start but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in the US and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined the environment and particularly water bodies. Organic products are produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.
Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Purchasing organic clothing means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, fewer health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.
Many retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find wholesalers solely committed to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I do not think that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
