Organic Baby Clothes TUCSON

Long before I had my first child, I had not thought I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a new mother, talking to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to chat about the most recent baby fashions we have picked up.

I generally go out with 4 other mothers, once a fortnight, to hear about the latest new. We usually meet at Oriental Express Restaurant (which is in TUCSON, AZ) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was really interesting as we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic meals from the start but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the world and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has damaged habitats and especially water bodies. Organic products are produced without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can buy organic cotton baby clothes online from a number of stores. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Buying organic clothing means you are buying produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or reduced use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, less diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.

A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find companies entirely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to teenagers. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I do not think that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
