Organic Baby Clothes TRENTON
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 24-11-2008
Long before I had my children, I had not thought I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mum, being able to talk to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the latest baby clothes we have picked up.
I more often than not meet with 4 other mothers, once a fortnight, to find out the latest new. We usually meet at J & TS Corner Deli (which is in TRENTON, NJ) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was particularly eye opening because we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic produce from the start but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the world and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and in particular water supplies. Organic cotton is produced without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.
You can purchase organic cotton baby clothing online from a number of shops. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Buying organic clothing means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or less use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and lakes, less health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Many wholesalers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find shops entirely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever I can.
