Organic Baby Clothes THOMSON

Back before I had my children, I had not imagined I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mum, being able to talk to other parents about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to discuss the latest baby fashions we have bought.

I generally go out with 4 other mothers, once a month, to hear about the latest new. We often meet at Ivery's Restaurant (which is in THOMSON, GA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was particularly eye opening seeing we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby organic meals from the start but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular plants in America and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and particularly water ways. Organic produce is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

You can get organic baby apparel online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic clothing means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or reduced use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, fewer diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

A number of producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find companies solely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to adolescents. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
