Organic Baby Clothes TEXARKANA

Back before I had my children, I never believed I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am a mother, chatting to other women about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to discuss the newest baby outfits we have picked up.

I more often than not meet with 3 other mothers, once a month, to hear about the latest happenings. We often meet at Waffle House Inc No 1155 (which is in TEXARKANA, TX) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was really interesting because we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic food from the beginning but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in America and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farmers. The run off from these farms has damaged habitats and especially water supplies. Organic cotton is grown without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Getting organic clothing means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or less use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, less health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Many producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find retailers entirely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to older children. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I would not go as far to say that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
