Organic Baby Clothes TAMPA

Long before I had my children, I never thought I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am a mother, talking to other women about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to discuss the latest baby fashions we have bought.

I generally go out with 3 other women, once a month, to catch up on the latest happenings. We often meet at LA Tropicana Cafe (which is in TAMPA, FL) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was more eye opening seeing we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic meals from day one but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in the US and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from these farms has destroyed ecosystems and particularly water supplies. Organic cotton is made without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Purchasing organic clothing means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or less use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, less diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Many makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find designers entirely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to teenagers. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
