Organic Baby Clothes TALLAHASSEE
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 21-05-2009
Before I had my baby, I had not thought I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mum, talking to other parents about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to chat about the most recent baby fashions we have purchased.
I usually go out with 2 other women, once a week, to catch up on the latest happenings. We often meet at Anthonys Italian Restaurant (which is in TALLAHASSEE, FL) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was more eye opening as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby girl organic food from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the US and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged the environment and particularly water bodies. Organic produce is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.
You can purchase organic cotton baby clothing online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing
Purchasing organic clothing means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, less health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Several producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find shops solely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to older children. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I do not think that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
