Organic Baby Clothes SANTA ROSA

Back before I had my first child, I never thought I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mother, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to chat about the most recent baby clothes we have picked up.
I generally meet with 4 other mothers, once a fortnight, to hear about the latest gossip. We generally meet at Fountain Grove Restaurant Equus (which is in SANTA ROSA, CA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was really eye opening because we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby organic food from the start but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in America and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from these farms has destroyed the environment and particularly water supplies. Organic cotton is made without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Getting organic clothing means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or less use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, less cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few producers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find companies entirely committed to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I would not go as far to say that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
