Organic Baby Clothes SAINT PETERSBURG

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 16-10-2009

Long before I had my children, I never imagined I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mother, chatting to other mothers about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to discuss the latest baby outfits we have purchased.

I usually get together with 2 other women, once a month, to catch up on the latest happenings. We generally meet at Casual Clam (which is in SAINT PETERSBURG, FL) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was particularly interesting because we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic meals from the start but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular plants in America and one of the most devastating to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has destroyed ecosystems and especially water bodies. Organic products are grown without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.

You can purchase organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic clothes means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or reduced use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, less health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Many producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find shops solely committed to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to older children. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I would not go as far to say that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
