Organic Baby Clothes ROSCOE

Long before I had my first child, I had not believed I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mum, talking to other parents about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the latest baby outfits we have picked up.

I more often than not get together with 3 other parents, once a month, to catch up on the latest happenings. We often meet at Imperial Palace (which is in ROSCOE, IL) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was more exciting seeing we talked about baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic food from the start but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in America and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has damaged ecosystems and in particular water bodies. Organic produce is grown without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Buying organic clothing means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, fewer cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find designers completely devoted to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to teenagers. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
