Organic Baby Clothes ROCKFORD

Back before I had my first child, I never really thought I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mum, chatting to other women about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the most recent baby outfits we have picked up.

I more often than not get together with 2 other women, once a fortnight, to hear about the latest happenings. We often meet at Pickerman's Soup & Sandwiches (which is in ROCKFORD, IL) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really interesting because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby boy organic food from the start but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular crops in America and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and particularly water ways. Organic produce is made without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

You can buy organic cotton baby apparel online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic products means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or reduced use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, fewer health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Many makers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find shops solely committed to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to older children. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
