Organic Baby Clothes PITTSBURGH

Long before I had my first child, I had not thought I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, chatting to other mothers about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to chat about the newest baby fashions we have picked up.
I more often than not go out with 3 other parents, once a week, to hear about the latest happenings. We generally meet at Tian's China Wok (which is in PITTSBURGH, PA) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was more interesting because we discussed baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic food from the start but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular plants in America and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged ecosystems and particularly water bodies. Organic produce is grown without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Buying organic products means you are buying produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, reduced diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.
Several makers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find companies entirely committed to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to older children. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I would not go as far to say that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
