Organic Baby Clothes PHILADELPHIA

Before I had my children, I never really imagined I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a new mother, chatting to other women about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to discuss the latest baby fashions we have picked up.

I generally get together with 4 other mothers, once a month, to catch up on the latest new. We generally meet at Alvano's Brick Oven Pizza (which is in PHILADELPHIA, PA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was more interesting because we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby boy organic food from the start but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in America and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from these farms has ruined habitats and in particular water ways. Organic cotton is grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can buy beautiful organic baby outfits online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic clothes means you are getting produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or reduced use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, fewer health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

Several wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find designers completely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to older children. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I do not think that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
