Organic Baby Clothes PHILADELPHIA
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 04-10-2008
Before I had my baby, I never imagined I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a mother, talking to other mothers about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to chat about the most recent baby fashions we have purchased.
I more often than not get together with 2 other women, once a week, to find out the latest happenings. We usually meet at Campo's (which is in PHILADELPHIA, PA) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was more exciting seeing we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby boy organic food from day one but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the world and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed habitats and in particular water ways. Organic cotton is made without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.
You can buy organic baby clothing online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Getting organic produce means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or reduced use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, less cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.
Quite a few producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find companies completely devoted to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to adolescents. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I do not think that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
