Organic Baby Clothes PHILADELPHIA

Back before I had my children, I had not thought I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a new mother, talking to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to discuss the newest baby clothes we have bought.
I usually get together with 3 other parents, once a fortnight, to hear about the latest gossip. We generally meet at Three Stars Pizza (which is in PHILADELPHIA, PA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was really eye opening as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby organic food from the beginning but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular products in the world and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged ecosystems and particularly water bodies. Organic products are produced without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Purchasing organic products means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, less health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.
Quite a few makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find companies entirely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I do not think that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
